Easter is creeping up on us and we are SO excited. But the kids will be off from school, there are Easter baskets to make, and so many preparations to do! This special, Easter Kids Craft is a great activity to do with the kids. Or it can be a super easy addition to an Easter Basket.
The choice is yours!
First, cut the melt and pour blocks into more manageable chunks.
Then, we divided the block into three even soap piles. Use one at a time for multiple colors or, if you only want one color, you can just heat all together.
Add up to 1/2 of 1 color block if separated into 3 sections. If heating all together, use entire soap color block.
Place in a microwave safe bowl and then into microwave. Heat for up to 2 minutes and 30 seconds on high.
Stir and ensure that all chunks are melted and that color is evenly dispersed.
Then, you can add your fragrance oil or essential oil of choice. We used Monkey Farts because ours is a kids soap. Don’t worry, it doesn’t actually smell like monkeys passing gas! It smells like coconuts and bananas and pineapples.
Add to soap molds of choice and lightly spray the top with rubbing alcohol to get rid of the bubbles.
Allow to fully set before removing from mold. You might have to heat the outside using a heating gun or warm water if you choose a plastic mold.
Finally, allow to cure for at least 24 hours before getting wet and using for the first time.
Enjoy!!
