Happy Thanksgiving!!

From our Nature’s Oil Family to yours, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!!  We hope you are enjoying the day with family and friends; relaxing, sharing food, and toasting to and for those you love.  If you are lucky enough to be the one hosting Thanksgiving guests, rest assured, there’s still time to incorporate Nature’s Oil into this fun and memorable day!   Below are some aromatherapy tips to make each room stand out this holiday season.

Masking Cooking Odors: While the smell of turkey can be delicious, there are quite a few dishes that can overpower the kitchen. Although Brussels sprouts can be a favorite, some don’t appreciate the special roasted sprout aroma. If this is the case and your kitchen is close to the guest area, just boil a pot of water and add a few drops of Clove Bud Essential Oil. This will mask any pungent aromas.

Bathroom: The bathroom is another place you may want to hide odors today.  Be prepared by using a Lavender Essential Oil remedy. You can mix with dried flowers to make potpourri.  You can also add a drop or two to the shower/bathtub. No one will know where you are hiding the oil, they will just remember that it smells nice!

General Aroma: When your guests arrive you may want them to be welcomed by the smell of turkey, or you may prefer to have some rooms smell calming and seasonal. Consider seasonal scents in some rooms like Cinnamon, Vanilla, or Clove oils. Orange Essential Oil will make people feel happy and calm, while Lemon Essential Oil will give a ‘clean’ aroma. You can mix a couple drops of oil into your table centerpieces, or mix with dried flowers for potpourri.

Cleanup: Lemon Essential Oil has antibacterial properties to assist in cleanup. Just add a few drops to your cleaner or a drop to a wet rag for wiping the table/kitchen. This will kill the germs and make your home smell clean.

Don’t forget about our selection of over 500 Premium Fragrance Oils that can be used to scent your space too!! Everything from pine, balsam, and winter blends too (we love Christmas Splendor Fragrance Oil).

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Scenting!!

We are THANKFUL for YOU!!
