A Summer Safeguard
We all know, 2020 has not been the most perfect of years. However, throughout all that we’ve experienced together, we’ve also worked to find moments of comfort, peace, and hope. What has helped in this mission to find silver linings is most definitely woven into the fabric of summertime. This summer has provided opportunity to spend time outside, see loved ones (even if only at a distance), and given us what seems like an endless supply of sunshine. In moments good and bad, up and down, it has been nice to welcome a little reprieve, basking in the golden rays and dreaming of a better tomorrow. As we take deep breaths and sit in THIS summertime, the sun kisses every part of us from the tops of our head to each little toe. It is radiant, warm, and gives this planet life but is also a force to be reckoned with! As you nurture your body and soul via that golden globe be sure to also similarly protect. In May we gave ways to shield your skin, this month, we share how you can receive the benefit of all that vitamin D but simultaneously safeguard your hair!
Tools / Ingredients
Small Spray Bottle
1 Cup Water
2 Tbs Sunscreen – SPF 25
Nature’s Oil Certified Organic Rosemary Essential Oil
Nature’s Oil Certified Organic Lavender Essential Oil
*For this recipe, you can also add your favorite fragrance oil for an added aroma therapy.
Directions
Mix your water, sunscreen, and 5 drops of Rosemary essential oil and 5 drops of Lavender in your spray bottle. Shake until all ingredients are mixed well and spray thoroughly throughout your hair. You can substitute the sunscreen for coconut oil or avocado oil which both have a natural SPF base. Remember to always shake your bottle before use as ingredients may separate between applications.
